This quote is so true for us brothers! Hello! Our names are Casper and Bolt! We are ten-year-old white terrier mixes, and we weigh 27 and 46 pounds (someone needs a diet). We are both neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on our vaccinations! We are a bonded pair of brothers that have been together since day one!
We didn't expect to be in rescue at this point in our lives, but we are so thankful we ended up in safe hands. Casper was rescued with a large abdominal tumor on his stomach that was removed completely by amazing veterinarians! It was cancerous but his margins are now clear! You can find our before and after journey on Tired Dog Rescue's Facebook page and it's quite a miracle! Now we are looking for a new home where we finally get to experience life like we should have been this whole time. We still have so much life and love to give!
We are laid back guys and love to follow our foster mom around the house, take naps, and wander around the yard. We are as easy as they come and pretty darn sweet to boot. Unless we're really comfy, sleeping, and you try to move us...we can get a little grumpy, but wouldn't you too? We are expert level nappers, we can show you the ropes.
We get along with other dogs, but we aren't really too playful. That could change as we Casper learns to move his new post-tumor body and Bolt sheds a couple pounds! We realize requesting for us to be adopted together seems like a big ask. But we love being together...like, all the time! So just pretend you are just getting a really chill eight-legged dog - you will be the talk of the town!
We are housebroken and crate trained. We did have a couple accidents when we first got to our foster home but after a week or so in a routine, we've been great about doing our business outside. We've had a lot of change lately, and we're doing great considering all that!
It is unknown how we are with cats, but our foster mom doesn't think we would have an issue. We can be tested before adoption if needed. We would do best in a home without very young children due to our age and energy level. But we love all adults and love getting attention!
We know our names and will come when you call us. We would love a home where we can provide you sweet, good boy energy, and you can provide the all the loving pets (and maybe a few treats, never mind the diet)! And maybe a chair or two outside to sunbathe?! We can assist you in your lounging needs!
