Hello, my name is Delilah Jane.  I am a beautiful 3-year-old black and tan female dachshund who weighs 13 pounds.  I am up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and will be spayed before adoption!

Even though I'm 3 years, I am still very much puppy at heart.  I am learning new things every day. Discovering household day to day noises and exploring every inch of the house. Due to my curiosity, puppy proofing is necessary.

Please remember outside of my incredible beauty that I am still very young and curious.  I love slippers, tennis shoes anything that has your scent all over it.  If you don’t want me getting ahold of your favorite shoes, then puppy proofing is necessary.  Additionally, I’m discovering toys and enjoy the ones with the crinkle material.

During the day, I’m a great office mate with my Foster Mom.  I also enjoy helping with the laundry, watching any type of food preparation in the kitchen but I do not enjoy the vacuum.

I really enjoy the outdoors, lying in the sun and following my Foster Mom around while she does her gardening.

My Foster Mom and fellow canine housemates are working with me on my house breaking.  We go outside regularly and especially when I just wake up.  I have had a couple of accidents but am getting better every day. 

I am getting crate trained but am not crazy about it, I do make some noise but settle down after a little while.

The meaning of my name is “delicate.”  I am a delicate little lady.  Initially I’m shy but I do warm up.  I’m fine by myself and I enjoy the company of the pack.  Mostly, I enjoy being next to my person.  Once I’ve gotten to know you, then I’m all nuzzling and cuddles.
